Selina 방선화 is a Manila-based interdisciplinary artist from Luyos, Nueva Ecija. Her work explores identity, sexuality and her existence as a Filipino-Korean woman by drawing on a diverse range of experiences across rural and urban settings. Her practice is informed by a versatile career spanning both sides of the camera. Having a regional modeling background, she translates her experiences into her roles as an art director for commercials and a graphic designer for multiple brands.
She is currently employed at Plus63, an independent design studio based in Manila. Selina has also extended her practice into cultural commentary, contributing opinion and feature writing to local publications such as MEGA, Preview, L'Officiel Hommes.
FACTS Selina is a movie dork and an everyday pourover coffee brewer.
Her recent discovery of specialty coffee grown in Yúnnán, China has been her go-to at home.
