In the Filipino basketball community, the word Dayo refers to the highest level of pickup games. Now on its 3rd year, Nike Jordan DAYO23 tournament celebrates the Philippines’ passion for street basketball and their devotion to playing the game anywhere they can—in crowded parking lots and even makeshift courts sketched with chalk in the middle of the road. For Filipinos that truly love the game, every court is a home court.

DAYO23 Out of Home Northbound & Southbound Skyway Design

I was tapped by Balay Kobo to design layouts for the 2026 tournament’s campaign rollout and out-of-home advertising billboards. Using images from the campaign shoot and branding assets from the Nike Jordan toolkit, I designed more than fifty graphic assets that were published on Nike’s website, app, and social media channels.

I designed the OOH marketing materials for the Manila Skyway billboard and the Tri-Panel digital screens. For these graphics with larger dimensions, I took careful consideration of the partitions and positioning of each panel when I was arranging the key visuals and color blocking of the compositions. The resulting design features striking imagery and bold typography that grabs attention in the sunshine and glows defiantly under bright lights in the evening sky.
