Located just below our design studio in The Alley at Karrivin, The Underbelly shares its space with Twelve Labors, a specialty coffee bar. The Underbelly takes its name from the prized cut of pork (belly chashu) that anchors its bold and creative take on ramen and tsukemen.

Two for Every One Sever and Emerge

The Hydra concept was born from the multidisciplinary practice of Hydra Design Group—an ecosystem of independent studios including Plus63 (our studio), Inksurge (graphic design), KM Interior Design, and The Acid House (animation).

Beneath our shared studio space once stood a donut shop. When it closed, two new heads took its place: The Underbelly (ramen) and Twelve Labours (coffee). The illustration draws from this mythology— a decapitated Hydra giving rise to two more.

I pesonally enjoy going to work mostly because of the experience of being in a space where creativity and mistakes are allowed to happen.
